As a Senior Associate at Stantec, Michelle is responsible for leading workplace projects teams from strategy development through design and execution. Michelle is passionate in understanding how the built environment impacts the well-being of people and their ability to thrive. While the pandemic has posed many challenges for the CRE, it has also opened new ways of thinking towards workplace strategy and the evolution of work. As a subject matter expert, Michelle leads a team of designers, strategists, and architects through an analytical process to understand an organization’s drivers and space utilization. Human-centered design strategies are then developed to advise workplace solutions that will help an organization meet their current and future needs. Outside of her work with Stantec, Michelle is an ardent supporter of organizations that focus on the development of women and girls. She co-leads a Girl Scout troop of pre-teens, where she encourages girls from various backgrounds to develop their voice, become active in their community, and hopefully become tomorrow’s leaders. She is also an active member of CREW DC, where she serves as Co-Chair of the Member Services committee and previously volunteered as a mentor in the CNCC Connecting Future Leaders Program.
