As a Principal leading SmithGroup’s Chicago Mixed-Use and Workplace studio, Matt focuses on commercial buildings, interiors, and mixed-use developments. A dynamic manager and consensus builder, he is known for his collaborative design approach and ability to execute complex, high-performance projects. Matt is a committed partner to his clients, helping them achieve their goals by expertly blending strategy with design. He dedicates his time to serving the profession by mentoring young architects, communicating the value of design, and connecting the real estate community. He is co-founder of BRIDGE, a leadership program for young architects that has become a model for AIA mentorship programs nationwide.
