Celebrating their 45th year as a fine architectural hardware supplier, Mockett is perhaps best known for their grommets, power and pulls solutions in workplace settings and beyond.
Inspired at NeoCon 2024 by their sample home office, executive office, kitchen and library settings to better show solutions as they would be used in real life, we engaged interior designers and specifiers from DLR Group to shop all of Mockett’s current offerings. Here’s what they would include in their next projects!
Powering Up: Charging Solutions
Power Interface: Edge Mount Power Interface with Wireless Charging
Wireless Charging has grown exponentially in the past few years. Personally, my phone, watch and ear buds all have wireless charging capabilities. Having this convenience power module would allow for traditional charging (ex. laptop) and that professional or personal convenience charging. Also a fan of the rounded profile!
Invisible Under-Desk Wireless Charger
With our world today, our smartphones is a must so this invisible under desk wireless charger is such a neat way to incorporate a seamless integration into any furniture. Not only does it allow for a clean work surface, it’s extremely convenient and a cool feature to have in the work space.
New in Grommets
Large Hinged Lid Power Grommet
I would include the large hinged lid power grommet in our workplace design because it creates a clean work surface, the convenience of not having to bend over to plug in your outlets and the dual USB charger ports. Personally, I gravitate towards any table that has this built in to the design.
Out of Sight: Wire Management
1-Piece Snapper Wire Cable Manager
When it comes to interior renovations and re-use, wire management usually comes up especially with existing furniture re-use. The sleak look, invisible hinge and full closure of this cable manager checks all the boxes to make sure wires are out of site, but still well housed and easily accessible.
Horizontal Under-Desk Wire Manager
I’m an absolute sucker for cable management. So as soon as I spotted the horizontal under desk wire manager, my first impression was an absolutely NEED for all office work environments. Having a bunch of wires and cables everywhere would completely drive me insane.
Organization Tools
Slope Purse Hook
Whenever I visit a coffee shop or restaurant I am always thrilled when they have a purse hook! I love implementing these into our touchdown spaces in a workplace project for that extra hospitality element.
Under Desk Hook
These are great as a workstation component to hold larger headphones and headsets to avoid desk clutter or misplacement. I love that this product can be retracted under the desktop when not in use!
Hitch Purse Hooks
The hitch purse hook caught my attention due to it’s simplicty and out of sight design. I’d definitely spec this out to help create a clean floor surface/clean work environment while also having a designated spot for your bag, headset, etc.
Keyboard Storage Drawer
Ample amount of work surface is always a plus in the work environment. I’d spec this product out because of it’s discreet design and it allows for a clean work surface.
Completing the Workplace Experience
Electric Adjustable Table Leg Set for Standalone Desks
Workplace design is considering all aspects of life such as physical, mental and emotional health. Personally, having the flexibility of standing/sitting goes a long way in my productive state so specing out adjustable table leg standalone desks is imperative for the work environment to allow for subtle movement that can assist in productivity.
Leather Barrel T-Bar Drawer Pull
I loved all the leather items in the hardware section. It’s such a small detail in a piece of furniture or casework but could really elevate a reception area or specialty amenity in an office.
