Casio recently introduced their Lamp Free® projector featuring mercury-free Laser and LED Hybrid Light source technology. These design features, developed by Casio give the projector an estimated 20,000-hour lifespan without the need to change the lamp.

Who designed this product?

The product was developed internally by Casio.

What are the most important design features and technical innovations?

This projector offers an output of up to 3,500 lumens, generates large images over a very short projection distance with a ratio of 0.28:1 and reaches full brightness within as little as five seconds via Casio’s Quick Start technology. Additionally, by adding the optional YW-40 wireless adaptor, this projector connects with Casio’s C-Assist app (available for iOS and Android), which enables users to control the projector wirelessly from a smartphone or tablet.

How will the product impact the workplace?

Technology devices are a key component in today’s highly collaborative environments. Having the right tools in place supports these activities to provide dynamic and engaging experiences when people need to work together and share information.

What do you think our readers will love about the product?

The Casio XJ-UT351WN is designed to be extremely user-friendly. The quick ON feature (which powers the projector to full brightness in only 5 seconds) can facilitate increased productivity in the workspace, by making it easy to use the projector with minimal waiting time for device warm up.

Can you give an example of how this product has been used in a project?

This example cites and experience in an educational institution, but the result would easily translate to any installation situation. Recently the projector was installed in a newly created instructional space equipped with rolling podiums that contained a Casio LampFree® projector. The podium also had ports for teacher and student devices and used an Apple TV device as a wireless receiver, plus a document camera.

Rather than installing multiple screens around the room, all the walls in the room were painted white, allowing the teachers to move the podium to any location in the room when projection is needed as part of the lesson plan. All they need to do is plug it in and turn on the projector.

What was the outcome of the initial installation using the product?

The school district realized the efficiency and efficacy of the product and had since purchased hundreds of the projectors to equip their classrooms uniformly.

When was the product introduced?

Casio introduced the product in February 2017.

Where can our readers see the projector exhibited soon?

Casio will be at FETC from January 23-26, 2018 in Orlando, FL and at TCEA from February 6-9, 2018 in Austin, TX.

  1. Also,
This is a very high-quality screen and it saved us time and money when we used it instead of renting one at a significant daily cost. The premium nature of this item is undersold in the listing, but they really have an amazing product. If you need a screen this is the one for you!
    Thanks in advance
