Last week, the Philadelphia Museum of Art opened Vitra—Design, Architecture, Communication, an exhibition exploring the story of Vitra and its innovative interiors, furniture, and accessories. We wish we were going to be in Philadelphia this weekend, because we think it would be the perfect Friday-after-Thanksgiving excursion for the fam!

If you go, plan to see everything from contemporary products to archival material and drawings from the Vitra Design Museum, including one of Charles and Ray Eames’ plywood elephants (pictured above), a group of Alexander Girard’s Wooden Dolls, and George Nelson’s 1948 furniture catalog for Herman Miller.

The exhibition is open now through April 26, 2015. Click here for more details.
