Nicole Birbas
General Manager, Future Ways of Working, Telstra

Nicole is the general manager for Future Ways of Working (FWoW) at Telstra. FWoW is a major company-wide change program focused on improving collaboration, enabling people to be productive wherever they need to be, and the best reference site for Telstra’s own technology. Nicole has worked in the IT&T industry for over 20 years across a number of functions, including several major programs.

Michael Bleby
Senior Reporter, Australian Financial Review

Michael writes about property, construction, architecture, design, and infrastructure. He has worked as a journalist for Reuters in Tokyo, in London for Bloomberg, and Johannesburg for Business Day, and has written for publications including the Financial Times (UK), The Age, and the Sydney Morning Herald.

Juliet Bourke
Partner, Human Capital, Deloitte

Juliet leads the Australian diversity and inclusion practice as a human capital partner at Deloitte, and co-leads the Australian leadership practice. She brings over 20 years of experience in human capital, management, and law to her work, and is an internationally recognized expert author and speaker on the workplace, cultural change, leadership, and diversity. Juliet is a member of the Australian firm’s Diversity Council and sits on the Australian School of Business’ HR Advisory Board.

Agustin Chevez
Senior Researcher at HASSELL, Adjunct Research Fellow at the Centre for Design Innovation, Swinburne University

Agustin’s experience combines industry practice with academic research in the field of workplace design. His interest in the relationship between people, space and technology saw him pursue a Ph.D. on the evolution of workplace architecture as a consequence of technology development at RMIT University. As an architect, he has participated in the development of workplace strategies in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. His research has also been presented at various international conferences and publications.

Sean Corcorran
General Manager, Steelcase Education Solutions

Sean serves as general manager of Steelcase Education Solutions. Previously, Sean was director of product development and marketing for Steelcase Education Solutions. In this role, Sean was responsible for research, product development, and marketing of Steelcase products for secondary and higher education. From 2005 to 2008, Sean was VP of product development for Vecta and PolyVision. Where he was responsible for research and development of new education solutions including visual collaboration technologies, interactive whiteboards, and furniture, for classrooms and other learning environments. Before joining PolyVision and Vecta, Sean spent 16 years at IDEO. He has more than 20 years of experience in design, engineering, product development, and innovation consulting.

Jessica Rose Cooper
Executive Vice President, Delos Solutions & Director of Sustainability, Delos

A long-time member of the architecture and design industry, Jessica has experience in project management, design, and construction, as well as in developing and executing educational programs for the green building community. Currently at Delos as executive vice president leading the Delos Solutions group, Jessica’s work seeks to improve health and wellness through the spaces in which we live and work, while minimizing the impact on our natural environment. In collaboration with the research and development work being done by Delos Labs and Delos Ventures, the Delos Solutions team offers advisory consulting services to help infuse the interior environment with strategies that enhance the health, wellness, and productivity of occupants.

Satyajit Das
Former Banker and Corporate Treasurer, turned Consultant, Author, and Academic

Satyajit is a former financier with over 35 years of experience. He presciently anticipated the 2008 financial crisis and many subsequent developments. In September 2014, Bloomberg included him as one of the 50 most influential people in international finance. He was featured in the 2010 Oscar-winning documentary Inside Job, the 2012 PBS Frontline series Money, Power & Wall Street, the 2009 BBC TV documentary Tricks with Risk, and the 2015 German film Who’s Saving Whom. Das is the author of two international bestsellers, Traders, Guns & Money (2006) and Extreme Money (2011). His latest book is A Banquet of Consequences: Have We Consumed Our Own Future? (2015).

Bruce Duyshart

Bruce is a technologist, strategist, and facilitator with a professional background in architecture, planning, design, property development, and information technology. He has been at the forefront of innovation within the property industry for the past 20 years, having successfully implemented a number of ground breaking and award winning initiatives including: Smart Building Technologies, Sustainability Energy Monitoring, Fibre to the Premise (FTTP) communications systems, and Web-based project collaboration systems.

Dr. Connie Henson
Author of BrainWise Leadership: Practical Neuroscience to Survive and Thrive at Work

Connie’s passion for the science of “how people work” enables her to apply the most current research and techniques in a way that is both practical and entertaining. Her talks encourage high interaction and quickly get people thinking and working differently. She also designs and implements change leadership programs that are informed by the latest neuroscience research through her company Learning Quest, a Sydney-based applied psychology and leadership development consultancy. Connie has been running Learning Quest since 2001. Her focus and expertise lies in helping people, organizations, and communities to realize their strengths and abilities. She has extensive experience designing and delivering highly effective leadership programs for organizations in a range of industries, including finance, health, media, technology, professional services, and government.

Bernadette Holloway
Head of Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Management, Zurich Insurance

Bernadette is the head of corporate real estate and facilities management for Zurich Insurance, Australia and New Zealand. Her career began in hospitality before undertaking roles on both the end user and supplier side of corporate real estate. In her current role, she is responsible for the successful delivery and customer satisfaction in all aspects of owned and leased facilities as well as major projects and workplace strategy.

James Maddock

James is the head of Global Occupier Services at Cushman & Wakefield. David has over 30 years of experience in property, construction, design, and development, with a particular focus on complex major mixed-use development projects. David has extensive leadership experience in delivering some of the largest urban regeneration projects nationally, including Barangaroo, Darling Park and Darling Quarter in Sydney, Victoria Harbour in Melbourne and RNA in Brisbane. Previously, David held the role as managing director of development at Lend Lease and was responsible for all development projects for Lend Lease Australia including Mixed Use & Commercial, Communities, Apartments, and Retail developments.
